The Eastbourne Ashridge Circle is the controller for data (or information) to be held on people applying for membership and relies on contractual necessity to process that data and use it to carry out various activities in relation to membership, including sending communications to members.

The Circle only shares this information with its mailing provider to communicate with members.  Such information is stored within the United Kingdom on password-protected files or otherwise secure systems.  The information is retained during the period of membership and for a period of one year following a decision not to renew (in case of a change of mind during that year).

A member may contact the Circle by post or email (via the Membership Secretary) to access, correct, erase, restrict or otherwise object to the information stored about that member.  A member may also contact the Office of the Information Commissioner to make a complaint about the Circle’s data-handling practices.
